2 Franklin County deputies on administrative leave, internal investigation underway

An investigation has been opened by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs Bureau.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has placed two deputies on paid administrative leave effective immediately.

According to the sheriff's office, deputy David Mink was placed on leave under suspicion of violation of the sheriff's office social media policy and inattention to duty.

2020年欧预赛赛程The second deputy, Nathaniel Wolfe is on leave under suspicion of inattention to duty.

“All FCSO employees are held to the highest ethical and professional standards,” Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said. “Anything less will demand accountability.”

2020年欧预赛赛程An investigation into both deputies has been opened by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs Bureau.

In the Internal Affairs Bureau case file, are screengrabs from posts on TikTok.

2020年欧预赛赛程One of the screengrabs shows a man standing in front of a gun with the phrase "When the looters and rioters threaten to come to the suburbs" on the video. The caption on the post is "This is meant to be funny...everyone relax."

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office confirmed the man in the screengrab is Mink.

2020年欧预赛赛程The spokesperson also confirmed another screengrab shows Wolfe sitting at a table posted by the same account that posted the other screengrab.

2020年欧预赛赛程A third deputy is also under investigation for possible misconduct and allegedly violating the office's social media policy but has not been placed on leave.
